ive been doing running reports for Complete Kit Car.

cheers blairM, i found a 0-60 calculator which came out with 4.9 seconds. i think it will be more than that as it wont reach it in 2nd, will have to change to 3rd at 50.
i think the in-gear acceleration will be good, which is what matters for everyday driving.

i think it weighs about 650 kgs, about 700 with driver. at 136hp thats about 200 per ton. can be remapped to 170 with no mods, giving 240/ton. goes around corners well too....
i've never heard of this before, but heard of people using a small amount of petrol mixed in with the diesel can help the car run a bit better, so i guess the 2stroke oil wouldn't do much harm
_________________
2007 FORD FIESTA TDCI ZETEC CLIMATE PANTHER BLACK 3DR
Where do you have it connected?
Maybe a link of the shop.

It does absolutely nothing on a diesel - apart from a chav'ish sound

As there is no vacuum on it you need to control with a selenoid valve and a switch on the thrtottle.
_________________

Subject: 2-Stroke oil in Diesel Fuel
Posted: Fri Sep 05, 2008 8:06 pm (GMT 0)

Hello.I've been reading on some German Forums (Andre Citroen Forum,Bmw Forum),that adding a amount of 2-Stroke oil in the Fuel has some nice benefits.

They have done some thorough tests and found out that it does not harm the Engine.

The benefits are

1.Better Fuel Pump lubrication.Especially with the latest Diesel Fuels with Biodiesel.
2.Slightly increased performance
3.Better Economy
4.Less Smoking
5.Less Engine Noise

They say a 1:250 (Oil:Diesel) is ideal.I have already added some for testing.
i'd posted this yesterday but it dissappeared due to the forum problems etc, i saw that someone had replied but didnt see what they had put...

what difference would a ss exhaust give to my 306 hdi?

will it add much extra power? bit of a nicer noise instead of the ol' tractor noise? change in mpg? anything else?

thanks

But you need to bend the "skirts" of the pipes so they look like a trumpet - otherwise they'll pop off once you increase the boost on it. I think I have some pictures of how I did mine on the server, I'll just try to dig them out.
_________________

You might also need to consider the diesel colling arrangement under the car when running veg oil. You need to be able to bypass it so the veg oil doesn't cool down too much on the way back.
_________________

Get genuine 110Bhp parts, then it's a straight swap
_________________

Looks like a tidy job!

Lots of questions, but it looks very cool

Did you use the old gearbox, or the one that comes with the engine. Did it fit on the stock 306 HDi engine mounts etc, and all the driveshafts etc fit in ok?
Just that the clutch is obviously a concern, and the 2.2 box clearly uses a superior one to handle it's 300lbft+ (when tuned)

I'm really glad someone has done it, and done it well... it proves it can be done, and then you've gone a step further and fitted a huge turbo (is it one of those Merc VNT jobbies?)

Should be on the 200bhp mark now I'd imagine, and respond really well if the VNT is optimised!

Who did the mapping this time round, still RS Tuning?

Good work anyway!
