I would be surprised if the IC on the 90bhp and the 110bhp isn´t the same.

Think its the same as the particulate filter. If you found a way to remove it without upsetting the ecu it would be good for the car, potentially faster turbo spool up, more mpg, less maintenance :)

From what i can gather it wont be a simple task. Have a look at www.dieselcar.com under Peugeot there is a long thread about particulate filter removal.

i would be curious to see if you remove it ok without upseting the system as ive been trying to find a way for a while and other than there not being a lot of knowledge out there about this what i have learnt is that i dont think is a case of just removing it !! who mapped your car and has he got any info on removing it ?? although i have not tried removing it but i would imagine that you would have to fool the ecu and what were not sure about is weather the ecu follows a pattern ?? could you not get your mapper to try and read the ecu as far as the regen side of the fap goes or is there a seperate ecu for the fap that tells the ecu what to do ?? know one seams to know although uberdervs mate would or sounds like the best man to get on the case !! lars ?? is it ...........jamie

Jaycee- I think Lars has other stuff on his plate at the moment his race spec engine was up for sale in march, I am getting my car custom mapped in the next few days so i will ask the mapper if he can shed some light on the situation.
It might be possible to use a ecu from an earlier model to get rid of it.

hrvojezg00- Sorry no, there is no easy way................yet :)

whos doin your map uberderv ??? and what ever ya name is i could safely remove it for you thats not the problem the best thing i spose is if your feeling adventurous is take it out and see what happens if the dash light flashes up then try pi**ing around with the pressure take off pipes and as ubers said before i think is place one at the rear off the system then one near the turbo so theres a pressure diference between the two hopefully the ecu will see that dif and not be alarmed hopefully it will think the fap is never blocked therefore never doing a regen although if it follows a cycle it will want to do a regen i dont think that would be a problem ?? not sure really were all in the dark on this one ! so your the guiny pig but i will give as much advice in trying to sort it if your going to do it !! if i was able to remove my gfs then i was going to fill that little tank with the eolys fluid up with injector cleaner and then keep it topped up and have the counters reset every now and then to tell the ecu its full that way the only thing being inj in to the tank would be a fraction of the cost of eolys fluid and prob doin much more keeping it clean ! hope that helps and the worse i think your going to do is bring the light on the dash (famous last words) keep us posted.....jamie
