What Car Do You Own?: Peugeot 205 DT ish
Modifications: Soon to have a 306 D Turbo engine and box
I have a 406 Hdi can I just blank off the EGR with a plate or not?
Have read that this will put on the MIL light true or false?

IIRC if it's pre-2003, which is probable being a 406, you won't get a MIL.
In any case, if you're worried, block the vac line to the EGR from the solenoid, and leave the blue connector connected.

I thought it monitored the amount of air flow when the EGR valve was opened (e.g. the air flow reading drops as it is getting air via the EGR valve)

ive blanked my EGR with a plate from ebay and no lights on the dash also unplugged it tho mines a 307 110 hdi 2.0

Just look on the fuel rail or injectors for identification

Thanks it is a Bosch system so will try a blanking plate off E bay.
